After dinner at the Commander’s Palace took a cab by myself to see Todd.  The set is wonderful but Todd makes a snide crack about Pete Townshend [as he is currently in the news over the internet pornography controversy.  Considering how much Townshend has influenced Rundgren his comments about Pete are a low blow.  Someone offers Todd a copy of Bebe Buell’s recent biography and he takes the book and tears it in half from the stage.  What a guy.   Apparently Bebe and Liv Tyler are in the audience. I meet Magnolia Tetreault and she takes me over to Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop to see her friend Johnny Gordon play the piano.  Classic cocktail lounge and in a way it’s better than the Todd show.  Moments like this won’t be found at the House Of Blues corporate chain.
